The Coarse Plate is the stronger choice for convection-dominant devices such as the Arizer Solo 3, Mighty+, and Crafty+, where a less compacted load produces noticeably better airflow and more even draws. If you primarily use a conduction vaporizer such as the PAX 3 or DaVinci IQ2, the standard or fine plate will likely serve you better.

How to Install the SS XL Coarse Plate
Disassemble your SS XL grinder and lift out the existing screen plate from the grinder body. Press the Coarse Plate firmly into position — no tools required.
