As I was searching for a portable vaporizer that I could use on-the-go, I found the Hydrology 9 by Cloudious 9 portable vape. I was looking into the features this product has, and with every feature I read about, the more I wanted to buy it!
At the great price, I found it to be a wonderful deal too. This made me even more convinced that this was the piece I wanted.
To star off, the visual design of it is sophisticated, modern, and professional looking. It gives off a very smooth vibe, and I wanted a product that would look just as good as it worked.
I love the glass tank component it has. It makes it look airy and open, and I love how it looks in comparison to other solid models from other manufacturers. Also, just the glass makes it look more sophisticated overall, and makes me feel fancy.
Assemble the Hydrology 9
When I got it and assembled it, I noticed right away that the piece is made from super high-quality material. It looks great and feels really nice to the touch. This is an important feature in my opinion, because the higher the quality of the materials, the better the performance is, and the longer the durability is.
The borosilicate glass used in the water filtration portion and the glass mouthpiece is amazing and is really resistant to cracking. The “aerospace-grade aluminum” is also amazing because it feels great and also performs amazingly. I love the quality of craftsmanship and the level of design that this vaporizer embodies.
The herb heating chamber is made from high-quality ceramic too, which is heat-protective and makes for seamless hits every single time. Not to mention, the cleaning process is super easy.
The fact that Cloudious 9 thought of putting a water filtration system in the piece made me really happy because it makes a huge difference in the hit and the vapor quality. I had wanted a product that wouldn’t produce such warm vapor, and I found my perfect product in this Hydrology 9 vaporizer.
Although much more advanced and effective, this vape essentially uses the cooling and filtering technology found in a bong. The hit passes through the water filtration and cools down at the same time. So, not only are you getting a nice cool hit, but you’re also getting rid of all the toxins found in the vaporized herb.
I like dry herb vaporizers, but the one thing that tends to irritate me a little is the stirring process. Having to stir the herb every 2-3 hits wasn’t exactly convenient. But the Hydrology 9 stunned me with their stirring mechanism already built-in.
Now all I have to do is spin the little stirring tool on the bottom of the vaporizer and all that stirring is done. No resin, no extra pieces, and no hassle. I love that.
Hydrology 9 Temperature Settings
When it comes to the temperature settings, I’ve seen my fair share of vaporizers that have a temperature setting system and I think that’s great. Many other vaporizers have a little knob or a screen on which you can set the temperature.
The Hydrology 9 has a bit of a different system for this. To heat up the herb you press the power button 3 times and wait for about 60 seconds and then hit it directly. To set the temperature you just have to press it repeatedly until you get the desired temperature.
You will know what temperature you’re on because the button has an LED light within the button and it will change color to indicate your temperature.
I like this feature, but then again, at first it was a little hard to remember which color was which temperature, and sometimes I’d have to reference the manual. But once I got used to it, I was fine!
Hydrology 9 Battery Life
As for battery life, I was pleasantly surprised to say the least! It lasts so long that I come to wonder if it’s everlasting... Anyway, I charge it once and then I get around 15 sessions of seamless, cool, tasty vaping. It is so convenient for little trips I take where I don’t have access to an outlet. All I do is charge it before I go and I’m set for the whole trip.
Another great thing I discovered was how much dry herb I could put into the Hydrology 9. I found I can put around .3 grams which is pretty good considering the amount I’ve been able to get into other vaporizers I’ve had.
Of course, I imagine there are other vapes that can fit more in there, but I found this to be a very convenient amount for myself and a couple of friends.
However, as this vape is convection you don't need to fill the chamber for it to function so i normally for myself I fill it half full and loose, and it works great and i don't have to use more herb than i need.
Last words
In summary, the overall vaping experience I’ve had with my Hydrology 9 portable dry herb vaporizer has been amazing. Even if the device was a bit bigger than I though. I really like every single feature it offers.
