Buying any vaporizer can be slightly worrying seeing as how much they cost. So you want to know what exactly you are buying. Make sense. You wouldn't just buy a car before researching it. Lets us make things easier and read our guide to see what you would experience. Don't let it be a gamble.
Unboxing any new rig is always quite exciting, but I think that unboxing this Dr. Dabber Switch is one of the most exciting. The packaging is exceptionally high quality, the box is big and beautiful, and the overall initial response I had was “wow”.
I think that when I decide to splurge on high-tech and high quality things such as the Switch that I definitely want the entire experience to be amazing from the start; and when I got this rig I was thoroughly pleased.
What is Inside the Box?
First things first, the box is really cool. I love the outside of it, which includes a satin finish type of texture; and once I opened the box, I noticed that there was a foam pad which kept the goods from moving around the box and shattering.
Details like this make me happy because I know that the manufacturers took the time to include fine details such as these; and it makes me feel satisfied with my purchase because I know that the product will be filled with these fine details as well.
Finally, under the foam pad were the goods. Every individual piece was laid in its corresponding spot (maid to fit the exact component) in another thick foam pad.

The layout made every piece pop, and together they all looked highly professional. Once again, I love that they were all taken care of in the box, because it would definitely be a let down if any of the pieces were broken.
In the box you will see:
- 1 Dr. Dabber Switch unit
- 1 Black ceramic nail
- 1 White ceramic nail
- 1 Set of tweezers
- 1 Ceramic flower filter
- 1 Silicone wax container
- 1 Dab tool / Cap
The most apparent, and I’ll say imposing, component inside the box is naturally the body of the Dr. Dabber Switch itself. It’s pretty hefty and it takes up a big portion of the box.
This was exciting! From there my eyes moved quickly over to the beautifully crafted glass piece which, I must say, looks like a miniature glass sculpture from Swarovski -sans colour.
After the two main pieces I took my time looking and playing around with the different pieces, and was delighted to find that there was a cup for each type of herb (dry herb/flower and oils/dabs). These are both ceramic, one white and one black, and their size does not vary.
The charging cable was also among these components and not underneath the foam like many other products usually come. I thought that was a nice idea, that way I didn’t have a miniature panic attack before I began to look for the cable in the box (can you tell that has happened to me before? Yes, and it’s no fun).
Anyway, I moved on to immediately assembling the dabber which was extremely simple, even in my excited state of mind. All I had to do was set the body of the Dr. Dabber Switch on to my table, take out the glass piece and set it on the top of the body, fill the glass piece with water up to the full line, and insert one of the cups into the chamber.
I found that the cap does go quite far into the chamber, but don’t worry, it stops in place eventually.
Loading and Trying the Dr. Dabber Switch
I proceeded to turn the Dabber on, turn the switch to oils, and to use the dap too / cap to load my dab hit into the cup. Then (after checking out the manual as to the temperatures, etc.) I turned the heat to medium high, and to draw my hit.

One of the things well worth mentioning is that I was very surprised at how quickly I was able to draw my hit after turning it on and setting the temperature. I mean it when I say that I didn’t have to wait but a few seconds, and then I was immediately drawing my perfectly tasty hit.
The hit I got off of the first dab was absolutely amazing. It was so tasty, it was the perfect temperature, and the draw was so satisfying.
It has the perfect resistance, and the bubbler made it feel like a bong, which was interesting and mind-bending at first. It’s also worth mentioning that I got around 5 hits off of my little test dab serving, so that’s a plus.
To wrap up this review I just want to say that my unboxing experience and my first hits on the Dr. Dabber Switch were a great experience, start to finish; and that I was pleasantly surprised at every single detail and precise touches this dabber has.
I didn’t have to fidget around to try to figure the dabber out; it was all very intuitive and innovative and easy to use. I highly recommend this dabber to anyone who wants to Switch it up (no pun intended).
